NEWS: Fifth annual PFLAG Scholarship Program underway

On December 1, PFLAG entered the fifth year of its National Scholarship Program. This year there will be up to three $5000, three $2500, and ten $1000 scholarships awarded. The Scholarship Program is PFLAG's chance to reward the great work students are doing across the country to make schools safer.

PFLAG's local and national scholarships are one of the many ways PFLAG supports GLBT and ally youth. In the last five years, PFLAG National has awarded over $125,000 in scholarship money to more than 100 students. This year the dollar amounts for the awards have been increased (up from $2500 to $5000) and the application process made simpler and easier, allowing students to apply online.

PFLAG Oak Park encourages students to apply. To find out more about the scholarships, check out the website pages at the PFLAG National Scholarship Program.
