PFLAG Oak Park - Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their family and friends.
On a public level, the group works by advocating for rights through meetings with Illinois State Assembly representatives, designing and running teacher training, providing public speakers, and running letter campaigns, among other ways.
On a personal level, PFLAG Oak Park provides support and plans its strategy at meetings held on the fourth Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at First United Church, 848 Lake St. Handicapped access is on Kenilworth and parking is available behind the church.
A 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, PFLAG Oak Park is affiliated with the national PFLAG organization.
