NEWS: Oak Park PFLAG sponsors theater piece

Oak Park PFLAG is sponsoring the About Face Theater's "How to Have a Friendship in America" at OPRF High School's Little Theater on May 21. It will be presented during 2nd, 3rd & 4th periods of the school day and will be open to all students. The original production is based on the true story of the close friendship between two young men: one black and gay, the other white and straight. They explore both their racism and their homophobia.

About Face Youth Theatre of Chicago provides an innovative and rigorous arts-based series of programs that increase the safety, empowerment and leadership capacity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning youth and their allies (LGBTQA) in order to catalyze youth-led civic dialogue and action within schools and communities.
