NEWS: Speakers for 2007 planned

As 2006 is coming to a close, PFLAG Oak Park is already making plans to make sure that 2007 is as eventful and meaningful as 2006 has been. Already, speakers have been chosen for the first two meetings for 2007.

On January 28, Myrl Beam will be speaking on trans issues. Beam was instrumental in the development of the Oberlin College Multicultural Resource Center's Trans 101 Training. He currently works as the LGBT Court Advocate at the Hull House Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Project. On February 25, MSgt. Jean Albright, USAF (Ret.) of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network will speak on "Don't ask, don't tell" and how to defeat it.
